# Staking your Assets via Keplr Wallet

Some of you might already be familiar with [Keplr Wallet](/g/cosmos-ecosystem/how-to-cosmos/creating-and-securing-your-cosmos-wallet/keplr-wallet.md), a browser extension wallet for the[ Inter blockchain ecosystem](/g/cosmos-ecosystem/how-to-cosmos/ibc-inter-blockchain-communication.md). We’d like to share an in-depth guide on staking with this specific wallet.

So, what are the current Keplr wallet features? The Keplr Extension supports transfers and staking for many blockchains in the Cosmos ecosystem, including the Cosmos Hub, Kava, Akash, Secret Network, Certik, IRISnet, Regen, and many more.

### Staking Your Assets with Keplr

In the [Keplr tutorial](/g/cosmos-ecosystem/how-to-cosmos/creating-and-securing-your-cosmos-wallet/keplr-wallet.md) mentioned before, we showed you how to set up your own Keplr wallet. Once that’s done, it’s time to start staking. 

If you don’t have any assets in your wallet, copy your account address to send $ATOM or any other supported asset to your Keplr wallet. You can do this from any exchange or another wallet. On the web extension you have two ways to find your wallet address:

* Once you’ve sent assets to your wallet, wait a couple of seconds, then go to the Kepler web dashboard:

* Make sure to verify the correct URL in the address field of your browser, it should be: <https://wallet.keplr.app/>
* The dashboard of your Keplr wallet looks like this:

* If you want to, for example, stake some $ATOM, you need to select the Cosmos Hub from the sidebar on the left.

* To stake your assets, you need to pick a validator. If you already know one, you can find your validator via the search bar.&#x20;

* After you've found your validator, just click on it and a popup screen will appear.

* Click on **Stake** to get to the delegation screen.
* Put in the amount of tokens you want to delegate (in this case 0.1 $ATOM) and click on **Stake**.

* A small Keplr screen will open on which you can verify the transaction.
* Make sure to:
  * double check that it's the right amount you want to stake&#x20;
  * that it's the correct validator
  * that you have enough extra tokens in your wallet to pay for the transaction fees
* If everything is alright, approve the transaction by clicking on **Approve**.

* After the transaction went through successfully (usually after a few seconds), it's done - you have staked successfully.

* You can always get an overview of your staked balance in the My validators section of Keplr.

### Staking deiner Assets mit Keplr

Im bereits erwähnten Keplr-Tutorial haben wir dir gezeigt, wie du deine eigene Keplr-Wallet einrichten kannst. Sobald das erledigt ist, ist die Zeit gekommen, mit dem Staking zu beginnen.

Wenn du noch keine Assets in deiner Wallet hast, kopiere erstmal deine Walletadresse, um $ATOM oder ein anderes unterstütztes Asset an deine Keplr-Wallet zu senden. Du kannst das von jeder Börse oder einer anderen Wallet aus tun. In der Web-Erweiterung hast du zwei Möglichkeiten, deine Wallet-Adresse zu finden:

* Sobald du Guthaben an deine Wallet gesendet hast, warte ein paar Sekunden und gehe dann zum Kepler Web-Dashboard:

* Vergewisser dich, dass die URL im Adressfeld deines Browsers korrekt ist. Sie sollte lauten: <https://wallet.keplr.app/>
* Das Dashboard Ihrer Keplr-Brieftasche sieht wie folgt aus:

* Wenn du z.B. $ATOM staken möchtest, wählst du den Cosmos Hub in der linken Seitenleiste aus.

* Achte hierbei darauf zu überprüfen
  * ob es sich um den richtigen Betrag handelt, den du staken möchtest,
  * dass es sich um den richtigen Validator handelt und
  * dass du genug zusätzliche Token in deiner Wallet hast, um die Transaktionsgebühren zu bezahlen.
* Wenn alles in Ordnung ist, genehmige die Transaktion, indem du auf **Approve** klickst.
